National's Little League Day
at National's Stadium
Sunday, June 8, 2008

All DLL Players, Friends and Families
are invited to attend this fun-filled day!!!

Overview

DLL will be participating in the Washington National's Little League Day at the NEW National's Stadium on Sunday, June 8, 2008. DLL players and two coaches per team will parade around the field before the National's 1:35pm game against the San Francisco Giants. DLL will also be mentioned on the scoreboard during the ball game. ALL players must wear their full uniform (baseball pants, shirts, hats) with sneakers (no cleats).

If you haven't already heard about this special day, or if you have questions, please ask your team's manager! If you are a team manager or the National's Day coordinator for your team and you have questions, please contact the DLL Nat's Day coordinator Andy Braumann (email).

Nat's Day Team Coordinators should visit the For the Record web page to access the updated versions of the Nat's Day Coordinator and Nat's Day Ticket Order forms.

Ticket Info

Tickets are now available for pickup at the Crittenden Concession Stand whenever the concession stand is open (games scheduled and being played, good weather). Team representatives are asked to pickup all tickets for their team. Individuals will not be permitted to pickup only their tickets from the concession stand. All tickets must be picked up on or before Sat, June 7. No one will be at the concession stand on Sun, June 8.

--------------------------

DLL has reserved approximately 2,000 tickets for the game, but they will be going fast. One thing we've learned from previous years is that it is virtually impossible to accommodate requests for tickets after the money has been turned in and tickets allotted.

Tickets will be available for $10 each for an upper deck seat. Kids under the age of 2 do not need a ticket unless you want them to have their own seat. Representative seat locations include sections 224, 236, 404 and 406. Specific section requests will not be possible. Cash or checks made out to Dulles Little League are acceptable forms of payment.

Since a limited number of tickets are available this year, we asked each manager or Nat's Day coordinator to survey their team to see how many tickets they are likely to purchase. Each team was asked to send an email to natsday@dulleslittleleague.org no later than 6pm on Saturday, May 3 with the number of tickets their team is likely to purchase. Teams that responded to this request will be given first priority to the available tickets. Any remaining tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parade Details

Parade participants will line up in uniform on 1st St, SE along the sidewalk next to Nationals Park beginning at 11:00AM. DLL players and TWO coaches per team are invited to participate in the parade.

Because of the large number of players and coaches that will be on the field, parents and friends are not permitted to parade on the field. Photo opportunities will be better from the stands in Nationals Park. Stadium gates will open at approximately 11:30am for parents and guests. Family members and friends should enter the stadium via the Centerfield gate on N St., SE.

Coaches will escort the players through Nationals Park service tunnel onto warning track of center field. Upon entering, players age12 and under will receive a Youth Baseball Glove giveaway.

Coaches and players will exit center field and re-enter the Park through the gates along 1st ST, SE near Nationals Strike Zone. Coaches and players must have a ticket to re-enter Park after parade. It is strongly recommended that each parent/guardian write their player's name on the back of their ticket and give it to your team's coach. Coaches may want to consider escorting their entire team to their seating area where players can be handed back over to their parents/guardian.

The parade is expected to begin around 11:40am and will conclude by 12:45pm.
